Engineers
Federal Credit Union is member owned. As a Shareholder, each EFCU member has a voice and vote in the governing
of the credit union. Since EFCU is member owned, the earnings of the organization accrue to the benefit of the entire membership.
ABOUT OUR CREDIT UNION
ORGANIZATION: The Engineers
Credit Union was established in February 1948,and became a
federal credit union in April 1992. The purpose was to
promote thrift among its members and to provide a source of credit for provident and productive purposes at legitimate rates
of interest.
All officers are elected by vote of members at the annual meeting held in January of each year with the
exception of the Supervisory Committee. The Supervisory Committee are approved by the Board of Directors. No official
of the credit union receives a salary for his services except the Treasurer and assistant.
WHO CAN JOIN?
MEMBERSHIP ELIGIBILITY: Membership is limited to
permanent civilian (including seasonal and part time employees ) of the Little Rock District, spouses of employees, birth
and or/legally adopted children of employees, retired employees who are members at the time of retirement. An entrance
fee of $1.00 plus a minimum deposit of $25.00 is required to open your membership. The $1.00 fee is an entrance fee to
the credit union. The $25.00 minimum opening deposit is your Share balance and must remain as your Share into the credit union
until the account is closed.
US PATRIOT ACT: To help the government fight the
funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires institutions to obtain, verify, and record information
that identifies each person who opens an account.
When you open an account , we will ask for:
(1) Your name
(2)
Your mailing and physical address
(3) Your date of birth and Social Security number
(4) A copy of your drivers licenses
or Government- issued photo ID
(5) Other information that will allow us to identify you.
